Amazon Ads Not Performing?

Welcome to a brand new week! I hope you had a great weekend and are excited about what this week is going to bring.

It was Lori's birthday yesterday, so we had a quiet morning and then had a few friends and family round in the afternoon; a good time was had by all - adult and baby alike!

Now, today, I'd like to share 5 questions that I want you to ask yourself if you're not happy with the performance of your Amazon Ads.

And you need to be 100% honest with yourself when answering these questions; if you're not, you're only hurting yourself.

So, with that, here are the 5 questions:

1. Does my book description/blurb leave readers wanting more?
2. Is my book cover professional and on-genre?
3. Is the price of my book right for my genre?
4. Do I have at least 20+ ratings/reviews on my advertised book(s)?
5. Is the Look Inside of my book the best it can be? (i.e. no spelling/grammar errors, good formatting, etc.)

If your answer to any or all of these is no, then most likely, it's not your Amazon Ads that are the problem; it's your book. Or, more specifically, it's the product page of your book.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...

Amazon Ads don't sell your book. Your book sells your book.

Providing you are driving relevant traffic with your Amazon Ads and you're keeping on top of their optimization, if you're not seeing the numbers you want from them, then you have a conversion problem, not a traffic problem.

After all, Amazon Ads are purely there to drive (relevant) traffic.

So, if your Amazon Ads aren't converting, come back to the fundamentals and create a product (a book in our case) that people want to buy. Create that and everything else falls into place.
