Just 1%

Hey,

Becoming a Father once again, just 2 days ago, I've been thinking a lot about what I can do to become the best Dad possible to our 3 children.

I've talked about this in the past, but I feel now is a good time to bring up the topic of the 1% rule again.

Each day, I try to get 1% better at whatever I'm doing, what ever that may be. As an example, and as inspiration for you, that could be:

Amazon Ads
Business
Exercise/Workouts
Being a father/mother
Being a husband/wife/partner
Personal development

If you're committing to improving just 1% every day, that's a very small amount of additional 'energy' required from you, but the compound results of that 1% per day are enormous.

Think about, if you make a commitment to improve just 1% per day in one or more areas of your life, this time next year, you'll be 365% better than you are today in those areas.

What would that do for your life, your self-belief, your confidence, your family, your career as an Author?

With my workouts, I'm really doubling down on something known as calisthenics, which is essentially a form of strength training using just my own bodyweight; no dumbbells or barbells in sight.

After 4 months of calisthenics training, my technique has improved drastically, I have more strength, more energy, more confidence when I am training to try new calisthenics exercises. The benefits go on and on.

Your body soon adapts though, which is why we have to keep changing things up to maintain growth and development.

The same is true with Amazon Ads; it can be very easy to slip into a place of complacency, where we think we know it all, stop learning and just cruise along doing the bare minimum with our Amazon Ads that we can get away with.

If there's one piece of advice I'd like you to take away from today's email, it would be this quote from author, Ernie J Zelinski:

"Be a learner first, a master second and a student always."

A final quote for you to think about today is from Albert Einstein on the topic of compound interest and how, even outside of financial investing, compound interest is incredibly powerful:

“Compound interest is the eighth wonder of the world. He who understands it, earns it … he who doesn't … pays it.”

You earn compound interest in your life by improving just 1% every single day.
