Do I Need To Be Active on Facebook?

"Do I need to be active on Facebook to run Facebook Ads?"

This is a question I get asked a lot.

And, in my experience, the answer is no.

Lori hasn't posted on her Facebook Author Page since July 2022.

And yet, we've spent $10,000's on Facebook Ads since then, with a very healthy return. (I show you how inside Jumpstart Facebook Ads For Authors)

For me, social media comes back to time investment vs financial investment.

It can take a lot of time to create content for Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, etc.

And when you think about the reach of your organic social media content, especially on Facebook, it pails in comparison to what you can achieve with Facebook Ads.

One chap I follow on Facebook has 157,000+ followers on his Facebook Page.

And yet, his organic posts get 10-20 likes, and a handful of comments.

It hardly seems worth it.

On X (formerly Twitter), for example, someone with 157,000 followers, will, on average, reach 10,000 - 20,000+ people, but at the same time, a single X post could reach 100,000's of people, even millions.

That sort of reach is nigh on impossible with an organic Facebook post.

It's achievable, yes, but Facebook are more a pay-to-play platform than X (for now).

I would much rather spend the time researching and crafting a new Facebook Ad that has the potential to reach 100,000's of people (for a cost) than an organic Facebook Post that might reach 100 people, if I'm lucky (for free).

Time investment vs Financial Investment.

We can always make more money; we cannot make more time.

Right, time for some breakfast before the kiddos wake up.
