It Never Ends
Jan 04, 20246 months ago, coming up with new ideas for our Facebook Ads was hard. Really hard.
But since I've developed a new system for endless Facebook Ads ideas, this is no longer the case, as you'll know if you're a member of Facebook Ads Mastery For Authors.
But as great as it is, having endless ideas isn't all sunshine and rainbows.
One of the biggest downsides is knowing it's going to take months, if not years to test everything – and the list of ideas is growing every single day.
It never ends.
The never-ending to-do list (or, want to do list, more accurately) is something I struggle with personally. A lot.
I have ideas jumping out at me every day, multiple times a day, not just for Facebook Ads, but for all aspects of our business.
And I know deep down, that only a handful of them will ever come to fruition.
Most of them will be terrible ideas, but I get them down on paper regardless.
Just take a look at this screenshot showing a snapshot of my Facebook Ads ideas (there's plenty more where these came from):
I know there's going to be a lot of trashy ideas in there that, when it comes to testing them, I'll have second thoughts.
But when these ideas originally come to me, I just get them out of my head and onto paper.
There comes a time when it's not just about quantity, but about quality.
Typically, I'll see 1 in 10 of the Facebook Ads I test become a success.
But in 2024, my goal is to improve that ratio, by becoming a better advertiser.
What if my success rate was 1 in 5 instead?
Something I say to myself a lot is, how can I do less, but do it better?
And that's what my focus is over the next 12 months with Facebook Ads.
With a goal like this in mind, the best way I've found to cope with the overwhelm of achieving something big is to simply work backwards from the end goal and break it down into the individual steps I need to take to get there.
To improve my hit rate with Facebook Ad for example, is simply going to come back to religiously following my formula for endless Facebook Ads ideas and studying the craft of advertising.
Feel free to steal the same framework by the way.
To wrap up...
If you have an overflowing number of ideas for your Facebook Ads (or author business), understand that 80% of them are probably trash and will never see the light of day.
And that's ok.
Focus on doing less, but doing it better.
You got this.
Right, time for some breakfast and to get our 3 boys ready for a day at daycare.
To Your Success
